African Countries Confident in Russia's Victory in Special Military Operation: Russian Africanist
"African countries did not turn away from Russia after the start of the special military operation, despite concerns related to sanctions," Irina Abramova, Director of the Institute for African Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences, told Sputnik.
⭕There are no pro-Western countries in Africa—only elites and leaders in some countries are leaning toward the West, she stressed.
Overall, Africans are determined to defend their national interests, Abramova noted.
