In Madagascar, Council of Ministers Dismisses Governors of All 23 Regions
The official statement did not provide any additional arrangements for the interim period.
This decision follows the overthrow of President Andry Rajoelina and the formation of a new government in Madagascar on Tuesday. This new government includes 29 ministers tasked with "leading the country out of the crisis."
ℹ The title of governor was adopted in 2019, following Rajoelina's first election to the presidency. However, it's worth noting that since the establishment of the regions in 2004, heads of regions have always been appointed by decree issued by the Council of Ministers.
