But without markets, you can never be able to make any money out of it," Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige told Sputnik Africa. "So, the BRICS arrangement, other than our traditional markets like the East African Community and the COMESA market, the BRICS market will give us access to bigger markets." Uganda became a BRICS partner state in 2025 alongside nine other countries.Talking about his country's relations with Russia, the diplomat said that they had "never been better than they are today" and outlined the main areas of cooperation."We've had long-standing cooperation in the areas of military and defense. But now we've strengthened our cooperation in science, technology, sharing experiences, sharing discoveries, training students, training our civil servants, among others.
