Major Road Accident Kills 63 People in Uganda

The accident, involving two buses and four cars, occurred overnight on Wednesday on the highway connecting Kampala, the capital, and Gulu.

The tragedy unfolded when the driver of one bus attempted to overtake a truck, police explained. Simultaneously, another bus in the opposite lane was performing a similar maneuver.

The two buses collided head-on. An evasive maneuver by one of the drivers then triggered a chain reaction, causing the other vehicles to lose control and roll over several times.
