Robbers Steal Nine Pieces of Empress Josephine's Jewelry From Louvre, Reports Say
The stolen items that belonged to Napoleon's wife include a necklace, a brooch, a tiara, and other jewelry, a French newspaper reported, citing a source within the museum's staff.
The robbery took place on Sunday morning at the opening of the museum, French Culture Minister Rachida Dati said.
No injuries were reported, and investigation is underway, she noted.
