Explosion Reportedly Occurs Sboard Cameroonian-Flagged Vessel
The liquefied natural gas tanker MV Falcon was crossing the Gulf of Aden, 110 kilometers from the city of Ahwar, on Yemen's southern coast, media reported, citing the security company Ambrey.
Following the explosion, the crew issued a distress signal. The sailors were evacuated, according to Al Arabiya.
The cause of the explosion remains unclear. The Houthis were not involved, according to Ambrey; however, some media reports suggest that a strike hit the tanker.
