Sharing Expertise With Russia Can Open 'New Front in Diplomacy' for Lesotho, Head of Nicolus Kele Foundation Says
Collaboration with Russia in the energy sector could unlock new opportunities for Lesotho’s growth and youth empowerment, Tefetso Nicolus Kele told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week.
He highlighted that Lesotho envisions becoming the hub of renewable energy in Southern Africa, supported by the Just Transition Fund launched by His Majesty King Letsie III to attract clean energy investments.
“Sharing opportunities with Russia, expertise, exchanging best practices will actually prove to be helpful, especially skilling opportunities,” Kele said.
He stressed that partnerships in education, research exchanges, and vocational training could empower young people and help Lesotho leapfrog in renewable energy innovation.
