The summit gives "the Israeli state the opportunity to reconnect with Arab countries that previously favored normalization," Ahmed Rouadjia, a lecturer and researcher at Mohamed Boudiaf University in M'Sila, told Sputnik Africa.
However, "this normalization will not take place because even the normalizing countries are threatened by the Israeli state, which has not abandoned its plan to expand Greater Israel, that is, to absorb most of the Arab countries," he believes.
Rouadjia characterized the "fragile" agreement reached between Israel and Hamas through intermediaries as one that "remains suspended in absolute uncertainty."
In the meantime, it "gives respite" and "a little hope to the Palestinian population," the professor concluded.
