The military in Madagascar announces it's taking power following the president's impeachment
The CAPSAT military unit listed certain measures to be implemented, according to press reports:
🟠Dissolution of all government bodies except the National Assembly;
🟠Abolition of the Constitution and referendum for a new one
🟠 Appointment of a new prime minister, followed by the creation of a new government;
🟠 Transition period of up to two years.
The statement was made from the Ambotsirohitra Palace, the presidential residence.
