Exhibition on Joint Russian-North Korean Activities Opens in Moscow
A special section of the exhibition titled "Shoulder to Shoulder" traces the participation of North Korean soldiers in the liberation of Russia’s Kursk region from Ukrainian nationalists and foreign mercenaries.
Personal belongings of the soldiers who heroically fell are displayed.
The exhibition features approximately 150 original items and over 100 digitized documents from Russian collections.
Among these items are awards and documents, diplomatic gifts and souvenirs, Soviet and Korean military uniforms and weapons, paintings and graphic works, photographs, and newsreels.
Visitors to the exhibition can also learn about the assistance provided by the Soviet Union to North Korean military personnel during the Korean War of 1950–1953.
