Malagasy Opposition's Ultimatum: 48 Hours to Remove President
If lawmakers fail to vote on the removal of Andry Rajoelina within 48 hours, protesters threaten to push for the dissolution of the National Assembly.
The ultimatum was voiced by Alban Rakotoarisoa, known as Bàba, an opposition municipal councilor.
Madagascar’s Gen Z reportedly steps up mobilization:
▪Starting Monday, protesters are calling for the closure of all offices and schools to increase pressure. Their goal: force the president’s resignation and secure major reforms.
▪Demonstrators plan to visit every ministry to urge staff to join the movement at May 13 Square.
