Mandatory HQ Establishments Inside Burkina Faso to Strengthen Economic Sovereignty: Expert
The new rule promotes the involvement of Burkinabé citizens in company management, Pousseni Bakouan, a research professor at the Virtual University of Burkina Faso, told Sputnik Africa.
Such a measure requires companies with annual revenues over 5 billion FCFA ($9 million) to locate their headquarters in Burkina Faso—a step that will also:
🟠boost transparency;
🟠encourage companies to understand Burkina Faso’s socio-economic context when making decisions;
🟠strengthen state control over financial flows.
