Macron Reappoints Lecornu: 'It's the Madman at the Élysée Who Should Be Removed,' Says French Patriots Party President
Florian Philippot denounced Lecornu’s reappointment as part of a system where “they’re appointing governments for 48 hours” just to push through a budget “already sent to Brussels.”
“There isn’t a drop of democracy left […] France is officially in a post-democracy. […] Macron must leave, as quickly as possible,” he told Sputnik Africa.
Commenting on Paris' foreign policy, he argued:
“We are calling for Frexit because sovereignty lies elsewhere—in Brussels, in Frankfurt, in Luxembourg, and in Washington.”
He also stressed that France must “leave NATO, the European Union, and its institutions.”
