‘Any Delay in Ending the War is Unacceptable’: Palestinian Leadership Welcomes Gaza Ceasefire
The Palestinian leadership “positively assesses the cessation of Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip,” Mahmoud Al-Habbash, advisor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, told Sputnik.
“A complete and permanent end to this war has always been an absolute priority,” he stressed.
He emphasized that the main goal is to “preserve Palestinian lives” and end the “devastating war and the slaughter that Israel has carried out for two full years.”
Regarding Gaza’s future governance and the disarmament of Hamas, Al-Habbash noted that such details “can be discussed after the agreement is signed,” but warned that “any delay in ending the war is unacceptable, as it could lead to more casualties.”
