West Has Long Pursued Policy of Privatizing UN Secretariat, Laments Lavrov

The impartiality of the UN Secretariat, which is supposed to receive no "instructions" from any country, is compromised by the existence of permanent contracts. Its employees from developing countries acquire US citizenship and become dependent on the United States, stated Sergey Lavrov in an interview with RT.

"This person signs a permanent contract. [...] All their money is deposited in an American bank. After a while, they receive first a green card and then citizenship. And the Secretariat's list will now indicate 'African country/United States.' So everyone understands what 'instructions' this person will follow."
