Zimbabwe's Mining Sector Experiencing Record Investment Surge Under Current Government: Minister
Investor confidence has surged due to government reforms that foster a competitive and transparent business environment, leading to major strategic projects across the mining value chain, Mines Minister Winston Chitando told local media.
Recent mining developments highlight Zimbabwe's growing role in global mineral supply chains, especially for the green energy transition, by leveraging its rich reserves of of lithium, nickel, and graphite, the minister noted.
Bans on the export of unprocessed minerals have spurred investment in local beneficiation facilities, and the mining sector is increasingly adopting international environmental, social, and governance standards, Chitando added.
