Situation Under Control After Terrorist Attack on Mogadishu Intelligence Facility, Report Says
Somali security forces are conducting a clearance operation at the Godka Jilicow facility in Mogadishu after Al-Shabaab* militants launched a suicide attack on the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) detention facility, the state news agency reported.
The attackers used a vehicle disguised as a security forces' vehicle to breach the perimeter before being engaged by NISA personnel, the publication note.
Several terrorists were neutralized, and authorities confirm the situation is now under control as forces carry out the final phase of the operation, it added.
