Joint AES Force Will Help Combat Terrorism Without External Influence, Malian Geopolitical Analyst Says
With integrated military tools, AES countries can better fight terrorism without relying on ineffective cooperation frameworks, Abdoulaye Diallo told Sputnik Africa.
"We have seen the inefficacy of [French military operation] Barkhane, [French-led task force] Takuba, and MINUSMA, which claimed to support us," he recalled.
According to him, the 5,000-strong force, based in Niamey, will:
🟠Share intelligence and resources;
🟠Conduct joint operations;
🟠Establish an autonomous defense architecture.
And that’s not all: cooperation with Russia, China, and Turkey will provide access to necessary weaponry, the expert added.
