Russia to Supply Zambia With 648 Tonnes of Food in October, MFA Says"On October 8, a batch of 648 tonnes of Russian food, specifically yellow split peas, is expected to be delivered to Zambia through the port of Beira, Mozambique," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated during a media briefing. Zakharova added that by the end of the year, Russia plans to send to Zambia approximately 94 tonnes of fortified sunflower oil."Russian aid will be distributed among those in need, utilizing the UN's capabilities and in coordination with Zambian authorities," she emphasized. "On October 8, a batch of 648 tonnes of Russian food, specifically yellow split peas, is expected to be delivered to Zambia through the port of Beira, Mozambique," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated during a media briefing.
