Russia & Sudan Hold High-Level Discussion on Sidelines of UNGA, Foreign Ministry Says
Sergey Lavrov met with Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.
The focus of the friendly talks was on developing trade and economic cooperation, it noted.
Priority attention was also given to the situation in Sudan in the context of the ongoing military-political crisis that has persisted since April 2023.
The Russian side emphasized the need for a swift end to the armed conflict and the launch of the reconstruction process, with a view to national reconciliation.
