Russian Troops Liberate Town of Yunakovka in Sumy Region, Defense Ministry Says
The liberation comes as the Russian forces continue efforts to create a buffer zone on the territory of the border areas of the Sumy region of Ukraine.
The Russian army is successfully completing efforts to establish a security buffer zone along Russia’s border, according to Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov.
Russia has no goal to take control the Ukrainian city of Sumy, but such a possibility is not excluded, Vladimir Putin said at the SPIEF in June.
