Moscow Helped CAR During a Difficult Time, President Faustin-Archange Touadera Says
"The day my country was in trouble, I reached out to my friends, but only a few responded. I called France and the EU, but only Rwanda and Russia told me: We can help you defend your democracy and your people," he told a British newspaper, commenting on 2020 electoral crisis.
The cooperation between the Central African Republic and Russia is based on mutual respect, the president stressed.
Currently, the security situation in the country is good enough to run presidential elections scheduled for December, the top official noted.
