Africa Must Seize Renewed Global Interest, Says Ghanaian MP

Daniel Nana Addo-Kenneth shared insights with Sputnik Africa on the continent's rising global stature on the sidelines of the World Public Assembly.

He highlighted the assembly as a crucial platform for networking and forging direct partnerships that serve Africa's interests. This reflects, he noted, a "renewed interest in Africa from the Russian Federation."

The MP outlined Africa's undeniable strengths:

🟠Control of 30% of the world's mineral resources.

🟠A booming, young population set to be a quarter of the globe by 2050.

🟠The game-changing AfCFTA, creating one of the world's largest single markets.

Addo-Kenneth stressed that Africa must remain true to its non-aligned stance, forming partnerships that best serve its interests:

“It is the African Union that can best tell a story. And it's a strategic partnership that the African Union will form with other global platforms that would help to bring the benefit that Africa needs in terms of its utilization of its resources.”
