Rostec's Bulletproof Vest Excels in Rigorous Testing, Defying Shrapnel and Firearms
The characteristics of a new version of the Obereg vest, tested at a firing range, are impressive, reports a Sputnik correspondent.
The equipment withstood:
machine gun and pistol fire,
shrapnel,
a sniper shot at 100 meters,
two bursts from an AR-15 assault rifle at 10 meters.
The armor plate performed well beyond expectations: state standards required resistance to 5 impacts, but it withstood 12. Only a 13th bullet, striking the same point as three others, finally penetrated.
