South Sudan's Former Vice President Faces Treason TrialAlong with ex-VP Riek Machar, leader of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-in-Opposition (SPLM-IO), seven other individuals are also on trial, media reported.All are accused of: 🟠treason, 🟠murder, 🟠conspiracy, 🟠financing terrorist acts, 🟠crimes against state authority, 🟠crimes against humanity.The charges stem from clashes in March between armed groups allied with the SPLM-IO and the regular army in northern South Sudan.
