However, Zelensky rejected this proposal, while maintaining that he was open to meeting "in any format." According to Russian presidential advisor Yuri Ushakov, the last phone call between Putin and Trump saw both presidents reaffirming their support for direct negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
