Relaying the story of Ethiopia from both African and Russian perspectives creates a unique opportunity for mutual understanding because of the different points on view, Ambassador Nebiyu Tedla, Director General of Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, told Sputnik Africa.
Today, when a handful of mainstream outlets shape most global news, organizations like Sputnik help bridge the gap by sharing alternative opinions and promoting a more balanced and respectful understanding between societies through media diversity, he noted.
“Sputnik’s presence in Addis is not just about media broadcasting; rather, it’s about building that bridge between humanities, between two cultures, between two civilizations. And we truly support the broader partnership between Africa and Russia in this manner,” the ambassador stated.
