Ethiopian Festivals Showcase Country's Unique Blend of Ancient Traditions & Modern Culture: MFA Spox
Bringing a cultural troupe to Russia is part of an effort to showcase the beauty, diversity, resilience, and culture of the Ethiopian people, while fostering mutual understanding and friendship between Russia and Ethiopia, Ambassador Nebiyu Tedla, Director General of Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, told Sputnik Africa.
Commenting on the Ethiopian Embassy Moscow event "Ethiopia Rising: Cultural and Art Performance," he expressed gratitude to the Russian government for supporting the cultural troupe of over 70 artists.
The event featured Ethiopian culture through music, dance, traditional clothing displays, circus acts, and authentic coffee ceremonies.
