Western tanks offer flaws, not future — Uralvagonzavod CEO

▫ Western tanks studied by the company’s experts together with one of Russian MoD’s institutes show some interesting solutions but far more flaws, Alexander Potapov, CEO of Russia’s arms manufacturer Uralvagonzavod (part of Rostec), said.

He noted that while there are certain features worth attention, these tanks are ultimately “machines of the past century.” Potapov stressed that they do not provide Russia with any breakthrough insights.

Among the shortcomings, he pointed out:

lower engine power compared to Russian tanks

almost no dynamic or anti-drone protection in the samples examined
