Côte d’Ivoire: Party Leader Denounces Electoral 'Manipulation'
Pascal Affi N'Guessan, the president of the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI) has spoken out after the Constitutional Council invalidated his candidacy for the October 2025 presidential election, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.
He cited serious irregularities in the processing of his endorsement file. According to him, the documents submitted by his team were not properly examined.
"More than 2,164 endorsements have disappeared or been manipulated, creating an unjustified discrepancy between our figures and those announced by the court," he declared.
The former prime minister says he had submitted 44,304 verified endorsements, while the Council accepted 46,546. "Where did these 2,000 additional endorsements come from? This is unacceptable," the FPI leader insisted.
Faced with this situation, he announced that he had filed a complaint against an unknown person and called for an investigation into "fraudulent manipulation" of the electoral process.
