According to Director General of Burkina Faso National Police Thierry Dofizouho Tuina, the unit will:
Patrol streets to combat insecurity and chase criminals on two-wheelers;
Escort convoys and protect high-profile figures;
Secure government buildings and strategic sites;
Tackle road incivility and reckless driving;
Back up national defense forces when needed.
