Ghana 'Places Premium' on Russia’s Tech to Supercharge Economic Growth: Ghanaian MP
Sputnik Africa
As global economies rapidly adopt feasible technological blueprints to accelerate growth, Ghana considers Russia's partnership to revolutionize AI-powered agriculture, energy, and youth training. Parliamentarians from the West African nation call it a historic chance to boost food security, create jobs, and elevate Africa’s global influence.
In a bold showcase of innovation and global collaboration, the XII International Forum of Technological Development, TECHNOPROM-2025, electrified Novosibirsk as Russia’s top minds converged with leaders from Africa and beyond. Under the theme “Science, Personnel, Industry: Key Components of Technological Leadership,” the forum unveiled cutting-edge breakthroughs in AI, robotics, biotechnology, and digital infrastructure—offering a glimpse of the future of industry. For Africa, the event was more than a display; it was a launchpad for transformation. Delegates explored partnerships in renewable energy, IT, agriculture, and industrial manufacturing, seeking ways to turn innovative concepts into real-world solutions for their nations. Ghanaian MPs, however, took the engagement a notch further—strategically mapping out how to harness Russian expertise to supercharge the country’s agriculture, energy, and technological sectors, while cultivating youth talent and boosting economic sovereignty. The forum underscored a compelling vision: Africa, empowered through collaboration, could leapfrog into a high-tech, self-reliant future. On the sidelines of the landmark forum, African Currents caught up with Ghanaian MPs Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum (Nkoranza South) and Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah (Salaga South), who shared powerful insights on Russia’s technological breakthroughs and the bold opportunities they present for Ghana and Africa.Want to hear more from our guests? Ghana 'Places Premium' on Russia’s Tech to Supercharge Economic Growth: Ghanaian MP
Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah (Salaga South), who shared powerful insights on Russia’s technological breakthroughs and the bold opportunities they present for Ghana and Africa.
"Why would we place so much premium on a forum like this? Clearly, Russia has demonstrated that they have the capabilities, and then most importantly, they are ready to work with us. Now, if you look back in Africa at what is going on now in terms of technology, you realize that we're lagging behind in a lot of the things that technology drives in every economy: in terms of using drones, in terms of AI, in terms of even sometimes just basics like farm inputs, mechanized agriculture - tractors, combined harvesters, and inputs like improved seeds, fertilizers," Hon. Ibrahimah expressed.
