Israel's Strike on Doha Gross Violation of Int'l Law, UN Charter, Russian Foreign Ministry Says
Qatar plays a key mediation role in talks between Hamas and the Israeli leadership, and the attack aimed at weakening international efforts to find peaceful solutions, the MFA stated.
"Russia confirms its fundamental and consistent position that a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip should be declared as soon as possible and that there is no alternative to resolving the Palestine issue based on the well-known international legal framework," the ministry noted.
Moscow once again called on the implementation of a responsible approach applied by all parties involved.
On Tuesday, the Israeli Army carried out a strike in Doha, targeting senior officials of the Hamas movement.
