'Ukraine Not Interested in Definitive Peace Agreement:' French Journo in Donbass
Kiev wants a ceasefire "to strengthen its army and receive new Western weapons," Christelle Néant noted, commenting for Sputnik Africa on Vladimir Putin's speech on this pressing issue at the Eastern Economic Forum.
While Russia seeks security guarantees for itself and Ukraine, the latter, supported by its allies, has an entirely opposite objective.
The journalist highlighted the obstinacy of "certain individuals within NATO" to integrate Ukraine "at all costs" with the aim of bringing the organization's borders closer to Russia's.
🪖 The presence of alliance troops on Ukrainian soil "would effectively amount" to such integration, she noted, while pointing out the futility of these efforts:
"It's clear that NATO countries will not be able to deploy troops without Russia's agreement. And since Russia is opposed, all these gestures and discussions that took place in Paris are absolutely useless."
