Nigeria & Cabo Verde Launch Digital Africa Corridor to Boost Digital, Business & Innovation Ties
The Digital Africa Corridor (DAC), convened by SheCode.ai and facilitated by Kryterion Limited, was officially launched with a high-level roundtable in Abuja.
Co-hosted with Cabo Verde’s Ministry of Digital Economy, the event brought together 35 leaders to advance:
🟠digital collaboration,
🟠AI development,
🟠youth empowerment,
🟠bilateral innovation between Nigeria and Cabo Verde.
A cornerstone of the initiative is Cabo Verde’s endorsement of SheCode.ai’s “Code the Future – Cabo Verde Rising” program, which will:
🟠Train over 500 secondary schoolgirls across three islands in coding, AI, and digital innovation;
🟠Provide STEM toolkits to support hands-on learning;
🟠Offer teacher training to build local capacity and sustainability;
🟠Culminate in a national showcase to highlight student projects and achievements.
Cabo Verde’s Secretary of State for Digital Economy, Pedro Nuno Alves Fernandes Lopes, has also tasked SheCode.ai and Kryterion Limited with organizing a Nigeria-Cabo Verde Business & Innovation Mission to Praia by Q4 2025.
The mission aims to connect 20–25 Nigerian businesses with Cabo Verdean partners in key sectors, including the digital economy, renewable energy, and tourism.
