Chinese scientists in collaboration with researchers from the US have confirmed, for the first time, the existence of a solid core within Mars.

The research team utilized data from seismic activity on the Red Planet to uncover seismic phases that traversed Mars' core. Their findings revealed intriguing differences in wave speeds, indicating a complex structure comprised of multiple layers: an outer liquid core encapsulating a solid inner core.
