Chad & Algeria Strengthen Security Ties Amid Sahara Terrorist Threat
The decision was made on Wednesday during a meeting between Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Chadian counterpart Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, who was visiting Algeria.
The discussions resulted in several key agreements:
🟠the creation of a joint commission addressing diplomatic, security, academic, health, and industrial issues;
🟠mutual support for candidates seeking seats on African and UN bodies;
🟠strengthening relations, focusing on road infrastructure to open up Chad;
🟠pooling of efforts to industrialize the two countries' natural resources.
