SCO Emerges as Key Force in Building 'New Type of International Relations,' Xi Jinping Says
"Since its creation, the SCO has consistently upheld the 'Shanghai Spirit,' strengthened unity and mutual trust, deepened practical cooperation, and actively participated in international and regional affairs," the president noted at the at the summit reception.
He expressed confidence that hosting the summit in Tianjin would inject new momentum into the sustainable development of the SCO.
At a time when the world sees unprecedented changes and challenges like instability, uncertainty, and unpredictability, the SCO bears even greater responsibility for maintaining regional peace and stability, Xi stressed.
The SCO will achieve greater success, strengthening member unity, empowering the Global South, and advancing human civilization through collective efforts, China's top official added.
