Indonesian Protests Echo 'Color Revolutions,' Linked to Western Globalist Interests, Says Analyst

The ongoing protests in Indonesia, disguised as anti-corruption efforts, are designed to destabilize governments cooperating with new centers of power in a multipolar world, Argentinian political analyst Christian Lamesa told Sputnik.

Lamesa highlighted Indonesia's strategic importance in Southeast Asia and its BRICS membership as key factors provoking "irritation and nervousness" from the West, which he believes is rapidly losing its leadership role.

"It should not be forgotten that Indonesia's close rapprochement with Moscow and Beijing could in itself serve as a reason for the launch of such destabilizing processes," he stated.

The analyst suggested that entities like the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and "globalist financial elites" could be backing these destabilization efforts, pointing to similar scenarios seen in other regions.
