BRICS+ Fashion Summit Concludes in Moscow
A Sputnik Africa correspondent captured the atmosphere of the event's last day, full of vibrant showcases both indoors and in the open air on a bridge over the Moskva river.
Designers from all over the world, including multiple African countries, praised the event, hailed as valuable for business networking – and for promoting peace.
"There's a lady from Beirut, the situation there has not been very good lately, and in the Gaza area [as well], but the beautiful thing is that they are using fashion as diplomacy," Brian Kihindas, Creative Director at Nairobi Fashion Week, Kenya, told Sputnik Africa.
"Beyond the showcase there's a very strong message that we can actually embrace using fashion as a means for peace," he said.
