Botswana's Business Seeks Russian Mining Expertise to Diversify Economy
Mmantlha Sankoloba, CEO of Botswana Exporters and Manufacturers Association emphasized the African country's open approach to international collaboration.
In an interview with Sputnik Africa, Sankoloba highlighted Botswana's desire to find business partners, given its small market and growing economy. She specifically noted Russia's advanced mining sector and Botswana's interest in diversifying its mineral-based economy.
On her fourth visit to Russia, Sankoloba praised the country’s beauty and highlighted its achievements in developing the mineral sector.
She expressed a strong interest in learning from Russia’s experience in industrialization and exploring potential partnerships with Russian experts to replicate this success in Botswana, particularly in the field of beneficiation.
She concluded with optimism about the bilateral relationship and appreciation for the hospitality she's experienced in Moscow.
