Papua New Guinea Fashion Leader Praises BRICS+ Summit for Elevating Pacific Culture on Global Stage
"Papua New Guinea is intense in the amount of cultures found within one small island," Philma Kelegai, founder and Managing Director of Papua New Guinea Fashion Week, told Sputnik Africa on the ongoing BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow.
She added, "Being a part of the fashion industry in my country and being one of the people who's leading it, I see there's so much opportunity for our people to showcase their products using their culture, using their knowledge to a global audience."
Kelegai expressed her enthusiasm for this year's summit, noting its "intense" energy and expanded global participation. She highlighted how the platform significantly broadened her understanding of the industry and added "so much value" to her work.
