St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College Aims to Advance Ethiopia as Medical Tourism Hub
St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) is expanding specialized services and training with the goal of providing high-quality care and advanced services to patients from neighboring countries.
New, state-of-the-art facilities at SPHMMC will offer treatments previously unavailable in Ethiopia, including:
🟠comprehensive cancer care,
🟠organ transplants,
🟠infertility treatments.
This will reduce the need for Ethiopians to travel abroad for medical services, SPHMMC Provost Sisay Sirgu said.
The hospital also plans to extend volunteer medical services to neighboring countries, further enhancing its regional impact.
As part of its commitment to regional engagement, SPHMMC is training health professionals from neighboring countries, building on the 80 already trained from Rwanda.
The initiative aligns with Ethiopia's policy of allocating postgraduate training slots to regional students, solidifying SPHMMC as a vital regional training hub.
