Ghana’s Producer Price Inflation Hits 20-Month Low
Producer Price Inflation (PPI) fell sharply to 3.8% YoY in July 2025, down from 5.8% in June and a steep drop from 29.1% a year ago — marking the lowest level since Nov 2023 and the 6th consecutive monthly decline.
MoM change: Producer prices rose 1.6% between June and July, compared to 3.7% a year earlier.
Sector drivers:
Mining & Quarrying: Inflation down by 1.9pp
Manufacturing: Down by 3.6pp
Transport & Storage: Prices fell 8.1%
Accommodation & Food Services: Prices fell 2.7%
The continued slowdown signals easing cost pressures, with potential relief for consumers if businesses pass on lower costs, said Government Statistician Alhassan Iddrisu.
