Macron Calls Russia 'Predator'? Thief Crying 'Stop, Thief!' Malian Official Retorts
"I don't think the French president is well-educated to lecture Russia," Fousseynou Ouattara, a member of Mali's Transitional Council, told Sputnik Africa, commenting on Macron's description of Russia as an "ogre" and "predator."
France "has always been fueled by colonial events" and "has a truly dark colonial past," the analyst stated, noting that "until now," Mali has been subjected to "French predation."
"Not long ago, France tried to disrupt political life, to undermine the very sovereignty of Mali by attempting to manipulate certain high-ranking officers to carry out a coup d'état," Ouattara said.
He also recalled the historical mistreatment of Senegalese riflemen who participated in the liberation of France but were subsequently executed as a "reward."
