Rhinos 'Are Architects of Landscape'
"The rhino is an incredibly important keystone species that is critical for maintaining biodiversity in its living areas where they occur throughout South Africa and Africa," Jessica Babich, CEO of the Risothope Project in South Africa, told Sputnik Africa.
She highlighted that since 2007–2008, rhinos have faced a dramatic surge in poaching due to the high black market value of their horns despite having no proven medicinal properties.
