Zimbabwe Seeks Investment in Village Business Units to Boost Rural Development

Zimbabwe's Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development has created a secure investment platform called the Vision Incubator Model (VIAM) under the Agriculture and Rural Development Authority (ARDA).

The ARDA VIAM model will be listed on two international stock exchanges:

The Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (Zimbabwe)

The Dubai Stock Exchange (UAE)

This makes it easier for investors to buy stock and participate in the agricultural sector, Permanent Secretary Obert Jiri stated.

What’s Available & Why It’s a Good Opportunity:

The ministry plans to soon advertise available land parcels within Village Business Units (VBUs) and other areas processed by ARDA, with the expectation that this initiative will unlock the economic potential of rural areas and drive overall growth.

Jiri pointed to several major advantages for investors:

High Potential: Zimbabwe has vast, fertile land, but rural areas lack development capital. This means there's huge room for growth.

Ready Resources: Access to available land and labor.

Strong Markets: Products will have access to local markets and a lucrative export opportunity to meet rising demand in the Middle East.
