Zelensky DROPS his ceasefire demand as condition for talks
For the first time since 2022, Zelensky abandoned his “ceasefire first” condition for peace negotiations after meeting US President Donald Trump in the White House. His statement after the talks:
◻ Wants a $90 billion aid package as part of security guarantees.
◻ Says guarantees for Ukraine could be put on paper within 7–10 days.
◻ Admits the issue of territories will be decided between Moscow and Kiev, with no exact date for the meeting yet.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin stated that peace talks with Ukraine in 2022 were nearly finalized, but after Russian troops withdrew from Kiev, Ukraine abandoned the agreements, and Zelensky later banned negotiations with Russia.
