"They've been given an ultimatum – peace, not a ceasefire, in Ukraine, and Europe depends on them," Deputy Director General of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Alexander Yakovenko told Sputnik.
He warned that otherwise Washington could step back from the conflict.
"It’s up to Kiev and the European capitals to decide whether they want to be at the negotiating table where details of the Alaska agreements will be finalized or whether they will be crossed off the list," Yakovenko added.
