12:18 18.08.2025 (Updated: 12:45 18.08.2025) Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, during which he shared the main outcomes of the Russia-US summit in Alaska, the Kremlin said on Monday.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa. Vladimir Putin shared the main results of the Russian-US highest-level talks in Alaska," the statement read.
The South African president, in turn, expressed support for diplomatic efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis in the conversation with Putin.
Putin and the South African leader further confirmed mutual commitment to developing strategic Russian-South African partnership.
